In John 1:1 the bible says: “In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Verse 14 says: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth, we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.” God’s words come with His authority that is why no other power can resist it either in heaven, earth or beneath it. We therefore have no reason to disbelieve that the word which was spoken during creation was Jesus Christ.
In Matthew 8:27 it is recorded: “And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?” In Luke 7:22 Jesus said: “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard; the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.” In Luke 8:36 it is recorded: “And those who had seen it told them how he who had been possessed with demons was healed.” These acts confirm that Jesus Christ is the same word of creation because even the elements obey his voice. Those called by God have the same authority backing the word as their preserve and inheritance.
Who can access the Word?
In 1 Corinthians 12:31 it is written: “But earnestly desire the higher gifts, and I will show you a still more excellent way.” It is available to all directly from God through His Son, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You only need to ask Jesus to wash you with His precious blood whilst you keep a pure heart free from sin, injury and bitterness, forgiving all. That is how Peter, Paul and the disciples had power and authority with boldness to stand and work for the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not desire it because you want to see or perform miracles but to seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be yours as well (Matthew 6:33).
Imitating God’s word
God’s word cannot be imitated, cloned, or mimicked. No one can give what he does not have. You mimic it at your great peril. In Acts 19:13-17 it is recorded that some itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to use Jesus’ name over evil spirits and the seven sons of Sceva did likewise. However in verse 15 it is recorded that the evil spirit confronted them says: “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” In verse 16 it is recorded: “And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them; mastered all of them, and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” Galatians 6:7 says: “Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
Our prayer:
May the Lord speak His light into our void world and state of darkness; May His light rest and abide with us always; and may His light inject eternal life and vision in us always in the name and blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen!!! Emmanuel!!!
