Apostle Paul says in Romans 1:16 that, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ: it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”  As Christians, we must speak the word with boldness as it is without any adulteration.  Speaking the truth is now misconceived as pronouncing judgment and thus condemned. Jesus said in John 8:45, “Because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.” Matthew 5:37 says, “Let your yes be yes, and your no be no.”

Purpose of the Bible

The Bible encourages us to rebuke and exhort on God’s word. It is not judgment but caution, correction, and righteous detestation. John 8:32 says, “Ye shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” In1 Timothy 5:20, we are to rebuke sin. In 2 Timothy 4:2, we are to rebuke and exhort. In Titus 1:13, we are to rebuke sharply. Rebuke means to reprimand, scold, admonition, tell off, reproof or reproach. Rebuking does not add to the prophecy of the book (bible) contrary to Revelation 22:18..

Genealogy

In Genesis 2:22, God brought a woman called Eve to a man called Adam. It was not a woman to a woman or a man to a man. The meaning of a woman or a man is unambiguous and definite. The woman, Eve was made out of the man, Adam and not out of a woman. For this reason, God pronounced Adam and Eve as one flesh in Genesis 2:23

Two women are not one flesh; neither are two men, one flesh. In Genesis 2:24, Adam, a man cleaved to Eve, his wife as bone of his bone. Two women cannot cleave to each other as the same bone; neither can a man to another. Genders, Partner, same sex marriage, incest, etc. are not approved biblical language or conduct and cannot be substitute for a man or woman; husband or wife.

Biblically, marriage and procreation are sacred and well defined institutions which must not be perverted, denigrated, or ridiculed by human wisdom and facade of freedom or liberty. Leviticus 5:17 says, “If anyone sins, doing any of the things which the LORD has commanded not to be done, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.”

Biblical indications

Over 100 references in the Old Testament and 65 references in the New Testament to wife are with regard to women in relationship with men. Likewise over 83 references in the Old Testament and 44 references to husband are with regard to men in relationship with women. The relationships are with the opposite sex contrary to what LGBTQ+ misconceives as synonymous or substitute. As we get closer to the end of the age or the return of Christ Jesus, we need to avoid biblical sycophancy and being economical with prophecy.

God’s dislike

God abhors unnatural relationship in Jude 1:7. The conduct of sodomy and what is contrary to sound doctrine is opposed in 1Timothy 1:10. Life of sexual perverts is frowned upon in 1 Corinthians 6:9. An immoral man sins against his own body according to 1 Corinthians 6:18. For those who seek to marry, 1 Corinthians 7:2 says, “Each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.” The reference to a wife is female; and reference to a man is male; people of opposite sex.

Our vows to God

Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:35-38, “who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? …. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  … For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Pastors, churches, politicians, people may approve of LGBTQ+ but certainly, the word of God does not. We must be careful, watchful, and vigilant to preserve the word and commandments of God. We must stand up for the truth irrespective of the cost. LGBTQ+ is an unnatural relationship and God despises it.

Our challenge

Christians of today do not pray or read the bible so, we are handicapped to intercede on behalf of our weaker brethren who may have such challenges. We speak empty words without power and divine authority yet pretend to speak in God’s name. We are not connected to Jesus Christ yet pretend to have a closer walk with him. James 2:10 says, “For whosoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.” Jesus Christ warns us in Matthew 6:1 to be careful about practicing our piety before men just as the Pharisees did.

We rather love outward religiosity including mere church attendance and parading public places with symbols of Christian faith. We lack moral justification to rebuke because we are equally guilty of other sins or what we have neglected to do. James 5:16 says, “Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.”

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, kindly forgive us of what we have neglected to do as your children. Help us to be fervent in prayer; devoted in bible reading; humble in meditation; and to thirst for your instructions. Teach us to rebuke worthily with a contrite heart of love and affection. Redeem the lost in your precious blood and replace their burden with your lighter yoke. Jesus, in your name we pray. Amen!!!
